Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts is offering a 1-year New Graduate Nurse Residency Program designed to introduce new graduates to nursing practice through didactic, clinical and experiential opportunities. You will work on a unit with a preceptor and engage in scheduled didactic sessions as part of the role.

Orientation includes 13 weeks 1:1 with a preceptor, with further monthly didactic education after completion.

Qualifications

• New graduate nurse eligible to apply while license requirements are being completed.
• NCLEX date must be scheduled no later than 90 days from graduation.
• RN license must be verified before start date.
• Graduated from an accredited BSN or ADN program within the last 12 months or has worked as an RN within the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and manage direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Participate in all didactic sessions and various learning activities as part of the residency.
• Orientation includes a minimum of 13 weeks 1:1 with a preceptor; after orientation, monthly didactic education classes.
