Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a Registered Nurse I (New Graduate) for the 8W General Surgery/Neuroscience unit at the main campus in Charleston, SC. You will provide individualized nursing care under supervision, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support Neuroscience and general surgery patients.

The role requires a BSN preferred (or enrolled toward BSN within two years if hired with ADN/diploma) and current SC RN license with BLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred unless current MUSC employee.
• ADN/diploma graduates must enroll in BSN within two years and complete BSN within four years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with health care team to achieve outcomes.
• Care for adult and geriatric patients on a mixed General Surgery/Neuroscience unit.

RN license (SC or compact)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
