You will collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality patient care on a 36-hour workweek with 12-hour day and night shifts, and self-scheduling for weekends.

Candidates should have an active Maryland RN license or compact license and BLS, with a preference for BSN or progression toward

• RN license in Maryland (or compact) at time of hire.
• Active BLS certification at time of hire.
• New grads or at least 6 months of acute care RN medical/surgical experience; 1 year preferred.
• BSN preferred; ADN eligible with progression to BSN.

The Johns Hopkins Hospital's Nelson 6 is a 23-bed medical floor, with capacity for 12 patients in need of cardiac telemetry monitoring. RNs on the unit care for complex medical patients, specializing in pulmonary dysfunction (cystic fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, Flolan management) and transplant (lung, kidney, and liver). There is great teamwork on the unit, and staff enjoy teaching and learning from each other. They also love celebrating events together on and off the unit, such as potlucks, birthdays, and holidays.

Qualifications:

• New Grads or a Minimum of 6 months recent acute care RN M/S experience required; 1 year preferred
• Baccalaureate degree, in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing, preferred.
  Applicants with an Associate Degree in nursing will be considered. per nursing guidelines, must matriculate to Bachelors of Nursing program.
• Active BLS via AHA, American Red Cross or Military Training Network at time of hire
• Active Maryland RN or Compact License at time of hire
