Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Nursing Graduate at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, CO. The role works under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and participates in patient care delivery, including basic clinical tasks and family education.

Requirements include an unlicensed BSN/ADN graduate with clinical coursework, a high school diploma, and BLS-HCP certification. The position may require on-call shifts and occasional float to other departments, with a 36-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Unlicensed graduate of an accredited BSN or ADN program with clinical coursework completed.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current American Heart Association BLS-HCP certification upon hire or within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient care needs by assisting with hygiene, nourishment, vital signs and care team communication.
• Perform clinical skills such as insertion/maintenance of PIVs, Foley catheters, NG tubes and venipuncture.
• Provide patient and family education related to diseases, medications, and care plans.
• May administer medications under direct supervision and with RN sign-off.
• Document patient care with RN coordination and infection prevention standards.
• Assist with transfers, admissions, discharges, and safe patient handling.
• Promote Intermountain Health's mission, values, and service standards.
• Float to other departments as needed and may be on-call for shifts.
