Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a New Grad RN to join the 4200 CV Surg Acute Cardiology team. You will provide direct nursing care for patients recovering from cardiac procedures and work in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

You will participate in a one-year Nurse Residency with focused tracks, hands-on training, and ongoing professional development opportunities within the Cleveland Clinic Health System.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN)
• Current state RN licensure
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross
• New grad or less than 1 year RN experience or transitioning to acute inpatient care

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to post‑operative cardiac patients.
• Participate in residency core curriculum and coaching.
• Establish and revise priorities for patient care based on acuity and resources.
• Document in patients' medical records.
