Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, ME is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shifts in the Medical-Surgical Unit. You will provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered care using the nursing process and collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Candidates must hold a current RN license; BLS on hire; ACLS preferred; acute care experience preferred; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care.
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions, reporting changes promptly.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments per orders.
• Coordinate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other team members.
• Assist with procedures, diagnostics, patient stabilization, and clinical interventions.
• Operate and monitor clinical equipment appropriate to the department.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
• Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
