Tenet Healthcare seeks a Registered Nurse at North Central Baptist Hospitals in Texas. The RN will provide nursing care to a group of patients, perform assessments, implement care plans, and reassess regularly to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree
• PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Two years in acute care. Previous clinical nursing experience in med/surg, telemetry or ICU
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
• REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (ADULT CRITICAL CARE, TELEMETRY, INTERIM CRITICAL CARE UNITS). *Should be completed before the end of the orientation period
• AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (PEDI ICU) *Should be completed before the end of the orientation period
• AHA NRP must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (NICU).
• S.T.A.B.L.E. for NICU- Level 2 Nursery-Must provide proof of prior completion or obtain within 6 months of hire or transfer date into unit (Renewal is not required).

Responsibilities

• Assesses human responses and adaptation to health problems of the patient, family and/ or significant other
• Institutes and initiates a plan for patient care based on the initial assessment; evaluates and reassesses patient needs on an ongoing basis
• Recognizes changing patient condition and utilizes unit resources and Rapid Response Team in a timely manner
• Documents all plans and care provided
• Assigns nursing care to licensed staff and coordinates the flow of work
• Calculates and administers medications
