Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Must pass pre-employment assessment(s)
• BLS from the American Heart Association and maintain certification
• Current Texas nursing license or permit to practice nursing
• De-escalation training within 90 days of hire
• Ongoing competency demonstrations as determined by the facility

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evaluates an age-appropriate plan of care using the nursing process
• Maintains professional behavior when dealing with issues or conflicts
• Provides a safe environment for patients, families, visitors, and employees
• Assesses risks to patient safety and implements precautions
• Complies with standards outlined by the organization and accrediting agencies
