Job summary

Allegheny Health Network’s St. Vincent Hospital in Erie is seeking an experienced RN to provide direct nursing care in line with established policies and standards.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and thorough documentation within a Magnet-designated system. The position requires PA RN licensure (or eNLC multi-state licensure) and CPR certification, with background checks as part of employment.

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association) is required.
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance, Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance, Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Clearance are required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process in providing and coordinating the plan of patient care for the age appropriate population.
• Initiates interdisciplinary plan of care based on assessment findings and physician orders for the age appropriate population.
• Completes patient documentation in a comprehensive manner and promotes communication between caregivers.
• Contributes to Division, Hospital, and Department goals.
• Provides detailed and appropriate teaching to patients and families to guide them through the episode of care and transition to home or another level of care.
• Collaborates and supports the development of students, new staff and colleagues.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
