Job summary

Bechtel is seeking highly motivated graduates for its University Hire Program as Field Engineers in mechanical disciplines. You will join full-time, project-based teams at various USA locations and support design, construction, and operations on major infrastructure projects.

As a field engineer, you will review drawings, coordinate with craft workers, monitor safety, quality, and schedules, and gain hands-on experience across civil, electrical, mechanical, piping, instrumentation, welding, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university (within the past 12 months or upcoming 12 months).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings for constructability and provide interpretation to craft/subcontractors.
• Monitor construction activities for quality, schedule adherence, and compliance with drawings and codes.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with field material requisitions.
• Conduct site visits and produce daily reports of work and subcontractor activities.
• Coordinate input to the quantity tracking and progress database.
• Monitor actual cost versus budget and maintain safety standards.
