Job summary

Applied Intuition, Inc. in Sunnyvale, California, is seeking a new grad Cybersecurity Engineer to help harden vehicle platforms from the ground up. You will join our security team to strengthen security architecture across multiple platforms with mentorship from senior engineers.

Responsibilities include security assessments, enabling secure boot for embedded devices, integrating HSMs, and collaborating with software, hardware, QA, and product teams to embed security throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree (completed or in progress) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, graduating by December 2026.
• Coursework, internship, research, or project experience in cybersecurity, embedded systems, or a related area.
• Foundational understanding of cryptographic principles, protocols, and algorithms.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in embedded systems development (e.g., C, C++, Python).
• Exposure to security frameworks or compliance standards (e.g., FIPS 140-2, Common Criteria) is a plus.
• Strong curiosity about cybersecurity and eagerness to develop expertise in secure boot, HSM integration, and BSP work.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to security assessments for existing and new products.
• Support the design and implementation of secure boot processes for embedded devices, ensuring firmware and software integrity during boot-up.
• Partner with hardware engineers to integrate HSM solutions into embedded systems and build robust encryption and key management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across software, hardware, QA, and product to embed security throughout the product lifecycle.
