Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a qualified engineer to optimize manufacturing processes using AI and data analytics. You will drive improvements across technology conditions, yield, and costs while leading AI-enabled automation initiatives in a cleanroom environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and experience with data analysis tools (JMP, MATLAB, Excel, SPC). Strong communication and collaboration across teams are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience analyzing data and making data-driven decisions using statistical methods and software such as JMP, MATLAB, Excel, or SPC tools.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical processes or equipment issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work a compressed 12-hour shift schedule and perform duties while wearing cleanroom attire.

  • Evaluate, promote, and plan new equipment, materials, AI applications, and digital manufacturing solutions.
  • Perform abnormality analysis, root cause investigation, predictive analytics, and continuous process improvement using AI tools and machine learning insights.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Coursework, internship, project, or work experience involving semiconductor manufacturing, process development, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, or process optimization.
  • Basic programming or scripting experience (Python, SQL, MATLAB, or similar).
  • Experience working with technical equipment, laboratory tools, or manufacturing processes.
  • Exposure to AI, machine learning, automation, or data analytics tools used to improve problem solving, decision-making, or process efficiency.
