Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, ID is seeking a New College Graduate DRAM Yield & Quality Engineer to monitor and improve the health of server DRAM products, working with global teams to analyze data and drive yield, quality, and performance across the product lifecycle.

This entry-level role requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, with up to 2 years of engineering experience and experience in scripting or AI-assisted tools to boost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Graduating within the last 12 months or possessing up to 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Coursework, internship, research, or project experience related to semiconductor devices, yield analysis, quality engineering, testing, debugging, or manufacturing processes.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to address technical challenges within a structured project environment.
• Experience developing scripts, automation tools, or AI-assisted solutions to improve engineering productivity and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze silicon parametric, test, and manufacturing data to identify trends, resolve product issues, and support root cause investigations.
• Contribute to yield and quality improvement initiatives across new product introduction (NPI), qualification, ramp, and high-volume manufacturing.
• Collaborate with fab, test, module, quality, and operations teams to drive execution of product health objectives.
• Develop and maintain automation solutions to improve engineering efficiency, data analysis, and reporting.
• Apply AI, Agentic AI, and Generative AI tools to enhance engineering workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and support data-driven decision making.

As a New College Graduate DRAM Yield & Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in monitoring and improving the health of Micron's server DRAM products. Working with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams around the globe, you will analyze product and manufacturing data, investigate technical issues, and contribute to strategies that improve yield, quality, and performance throughout the product lifecycle. Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Internship, research, or project experience involving DRAM technology, semiconductor manufacturing, or product engineering.
• Familiarity with common semiconductor or memory failure mechanisms and basic failure analysis methodologies.
• Experience working with manufacturing, test, system-level, or hardware validation data.
• Exposure to statistical analysis, data visualization, or yield improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated leadership experience through academic projects, internships, student organizations, or cross-functional team activities.
