Hines Park Ford is seeking a reliable New Car Porter in New Hudson, MI to maintain the presentation and organization of our new vehicle inventory for customers and the sales team.

Responsibilities include moving vehicles, detailing, inspections, and assisting with delivery readiness while following safety protocols within a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to safely operate and maneuver vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in vehicle appearance.
• Flexible schedule including some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Move and transport new vehicles within the dealership lot and service areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all new cars, including washing and detailing.
• Perform routine inspections to ensure vehicles are ready for delivery.
• Assist with vehicle organization in the lot to optimize space.
• Deliver vehicles and related materials to sales/service teams.
• Follow safety protocols and dealership policies.
• Maintain inventory appearance by cleaning interiors/exteriors and replenishing fluids.
• Place buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles.
• Keep lots neat and orderly per display standards.
• Drive vehicles to service lanes, stalls, and parking areas as needed.
• Create key tags and manage inventory of vehicles.
• Retrieve and deliver vehicles from property locations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Hines Park Ford is seeking a reliable and motivated New Car Porter to join our team in New Hudson, MI. As a New Car Porter, you will play a key role in maintaining the presentation and organization of our new vehicle inventory, ensuring a positive experience for our customers and sales team.

Responsibilities

• Move and transport new vehicles within the dealership lot and service areas as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of all new cars, including washing and detailing
• Perform routine inspections of vehicles to ensure they are free from damage and properly prepared for customer delivery
• Assist with vehicle organization in the lot to optimize space and accessibility
• Support the sales and service departments by promptly delivering vehicles and related materials
• Follow all safety protocols and dealership policies while handling vehicles
• Maintain inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, replenishing all vehicle fluids as needed, and replacing batteries when necessary
• Place buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles
• Keep lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the general manager and in accordance with dealership display standards
• Drive vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed
• Make key tags for and handle inventory of vehicles
• Retrieve and deliver vehicles from property locations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to safely operate and maneuver vehicles in various conditions
• Strong attention to detail and pride in vehicle appearance
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as washing and moving vehicles
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required
