What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Research and identify potential school and district partners through outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach
- Qualify prospects and set up appointments, passing qualified leads to Account Managers
- Build relationships with educators and administrators to promote literacy through Scholastic Reading Events
- Maintain accurate records of interactions in the CRM system and track progress toward sales goals
- Collaborate with the sales team to enhance lead generation efficiency and stay informed about industry trends
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful sales experience in retail or territory sales, event management, or customer service
- Proficiency with MS Office and experience with Sales Automation or CRM software
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
- Outstanding interpersonal skills for building relationships with customers and team members
