Job summary

The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Wexner Medical Center seek a fellowship-trained neurovascular/stroke neurologist to join the Department of Neurology. The role includes staffing primary, consult, and telestroke services, with outpatient neurovascular clinics and teaching responsibilities.

Academic rank and track are commensurate with experience, and opportunities for research within a large telestroke network and 32 affiliated hospitals are available.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent required.
• Completed 1+ year of neurovascular fellowship training by start date.
• ABPN neurology board certified or eligible within two years of neurology training.
• ABPN neurovascular board eligible by end of neurovascular fellowship.
• Unrestricted Ohio medical license or ability to obtain before appointment.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary academic environment with learners and staff.
• Outstanding clinical teaching, bedside manner, and professionalism.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with neurovascular disorders.
• Staff neurovascular primary and consultation services.
• Staff telestroke network and outpatient neurovascular clinics.
• Supervise trainees in neurovascular assessments.
• Develop partnerships with referring physicians and hospitals.
• Engage in clinical teaching and scholarly activity.
