Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Neurovascular Sonographer I to join the Clinical Neurophysiology Services team. The position reports to the Neurovascular Lab Coordinator and supports quality and operational targets while delivering vascular ultrasound imaging.

Requires graduation from an accredited vascular ultrasound program, RVT/ RVS registration and at least 1 year of vascular ultrasound experience, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited ultrasound program of Vascular technology or the equivalent and registered as an RVT by ARDMS or as RVS by CCI is required and must be maintained.
• One year of Vascular Ultrasound work experience is required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Job Description

The Neurovascular Sonographer I reports to the Neurovascular Lab Coordinator. Under limited supervision the Neurovascular Sonographer I supports the Clinical Neurophysiology Services department, ICE and Medical Center goals. Goals include achievement of clinical and quality measures, operational efficiency, financial targets as well as population/age specific needs of the department.

Additional Job Description
