Job summary

Sutter West Bay Medical Group in San Francisco is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our neurosurgery team. This role offers outpatient focus with meaningful inpatient exposure and collaboration with nationally recognized neurosurgeons in a forward-thinking environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program.
• Active and unrestricted California PA license and DEA CSRC.
• Current BLS certification; neurosurgery interest encouraged.

What You'll Do

You'll play a key role in guiding patients through every stage of their neurosurgical journey-including:

• Managing new and follow-up visits in the ambulatory setting
• Conducting telehealth consultations via Epic
• Supporting pre- and post-operative care planning
• Coordinating care across inpatient and outpatient teams
• Triaging referrals and managing clinical communications
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies in collaboration with physicians
• Educating patients and families to ensure confident care decisions

Requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program

Experience

• Prior surgical or neurosurgery experience preferred
