Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles seeks Physician Assistants to provide health care services under physician supervision. You will perform physical examinations, order and interpret tests, develop and implement health plans, and coordinate referrals for patients with acute or chronic conditions.

Responsibilities include collecting history and performing exams, building care plans, and ensuring follow-up. Applicants should have PA or RN/NP pathways, CA licenses, and BLS/ACLS as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant Program or graduate of an accredited RN and NP Program.
• Masters Degree in Nursing (effective 1/1/03 for those not previously grandfathered in by CMS- NP only).

Responsibilities

• Collect subjective data (obtain history).
• Collect objective data (perform a physical exam).
• Develop an assessment (diagnosis).
• Develop and implement a management plan.
• Facilitate referral to appropriate facilities and resources.
• Order pharmacologic interventions.
• Develop and implement an educational plan.
• Plan for appropriate follow-up care.
• Manage care of patients with complicated medical or surgical conditions.
