Job summary

Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL is seeking a Neurosurgery Physician Assistant to support a dynamic team. The role mixes inpatient and outpatient care, with 4 ten-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, and on-call responsibilities that include a weekday call and periodic weekend rounds.

You will work with 4 neurosurgeons and 5 APPs in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in neurosurgery, excellent teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a high-acuity

Qualifications

• Active PA license in state of practice and national board certification.
• Active DEA registration prior to hire.
• Illinois Controlled Substance License if practicing in Illinois.
• BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by clinical practice prior to or within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage neurosurgical patients in clinic and hospital settings with attending physicians.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Participate in daily rounding across two hospital locations.
• First assist in spine, cranial, and peripheral nerve neurosurgical procedures.
• Provide on-call coverage and support acute surgical cases as needed.
