Qualifications

• MSN or higher required for NP track
• Certified Nurse Practitioner in MA (CNP)
• DEA registration if prescribing
• 1+ years Neurosurgery experience preferred
• Surgical First Assist Certification preferred
• MPAS from ARC-PA-accredited program
• Physician Assistant licensure in MA
• DEA registration if prescribing

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to neurosurgical patients in outpatient and hospital settings.
• Perform histories and physicals and interpret tests.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with supervising neurosurgeon.
• Act as first assistant in surgery under supervision.
• Provide consults and follow-up inpatients and ER patients.
• Coordinate care with pain management and therapy services.
• Review imaging and labs and adjust plans as needed.
• Educate patients as part of treatment plan.
• Ensure consistent service excellence and process improvements.
