Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a licensed practical nurse to provide direct patient care, including IV therapy, under RN supervision. This role guides nurses and ancillary staff, ensuring high-quality, personalized care. The position offers a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule with a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Required: High school diploma or equivalent, LPN license in the state of practice, and BLS certification. No prior experience required.

Qualifications

• LPN license in state of practice (Louisiana).
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and judgment.
• Ability to work with confidential information and in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing process to patient care through data gathering, planning and evaluation.
• Deliver care based on age-appropriate criteria.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff.
• Adapt to unit/department changes and maintain professional development.
• Maintain credentials and participate in ongoing training.
• Perform other related duties as required.
