Job summary

The University of New Mexico is seeking an Open Rank Neurosurgeon to join its Department of Neurosurgery within the School of Medicine in Albuquerque. The candidate will lead a growing general neurosurgical service, with emphasis on brain trauma and spinal disorders, while teaching residents and students and expanding our academic program.

Qualifications include MD/DO, ABNS certification or eligibility, and completion of an ACGME-accredited residency.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent required.
• ABNS board certification or eligibility expected.
• ACGME-approved residency in neurological surgery by start date required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow neurosurgical practice with focus on brain trauma and spinal disorders.
• Involve residents and students in teaching and clinical activities.
