Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible medical billing or revenue cycle experience.
• Minimum of two years of lead or supervisory experience.
• Experience with neurosurgery or surgical specialty billing preferred.
• Strong CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding knowledge.
• Ability to interpret payer reimbursement policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of the Neurosurgery professional billing function.
• Ensure timely claim review, submission, payment reconciliation and follow-up.
• Monitor accounts receivable and denial work queues for timely resolution.
• Collaborate with providers, leadership and payers to maximize revenue.
• Lead staff supervision, coaching and development.
• Develop policies and workflow improvements to reduce leakage.
• Prepare operational reports and support leadership decisions.
