Job summary
Endeavor Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) in its Neurology Department at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. This full-time role includes duties in neurosurgical inpatient care, postoperative management, and care coordination with a multidisciplinary team.
The ideal candidate holds IL APN/PA licensure, DEA license, and a master’s degree in a neurology specialty, with BLS/CPR certification.
Qualifications
- Licensure for APN/PA in Illinois is required; Federal DEA and IL Controlled Substances licenses required (or pending).
- Master's degree in a neurology/neurosurgery specialty area.
- BLS/CPR certification required.
- Prior APN/PA experience in neurology or neurosurgery preferred; APN first assist certification required.
Responsibilities
- Daily assessment and management of neurosurgical inpatients.
- Postoperative patient management.
- Coordinate care with neurosurgeons, hospitalists, nursing, therapy and other services.
- Evaluate acute clinical changes and manage postoperative complications.
- Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies as appropriate.
