Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Grovetown, GA seeks a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Neurosurgeon to lead the neurosurgical program at the new Wellstar Columbia County Hospital opening Fall 2026. General neurosurgery with subspecialty flexibility (spine, cranial, trauma) is available.

You will work with brand-new ORs, advanced imaging, robotics, and neuro-monitoring; supported by full APP and clinical teams, integrated EPIC EMR, and strong hospitalist and trauma services to shape protocols and grow

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited program.
• Completion of accredited neurosurgery residency; fellowship training welcome.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery.
• Spine experience preferred.
• Eligible for Georgia medical licensure.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative, program-building mindset.

Responsibilities

• Launch and lead the neurosurgical program at the brand-new Wellstar Columbia County Hospital.
• Provide general neurosurgery with opportunities to develop subspecialty interests (spine, cranial, trauma, etc.).
• Shape clinical protocols, referral relationships, and program growth.
• Collaborate with inpatient teams and utilize advanced imaging, robotics, and neuro-monitoring.
• Deliver care on a Level III Trauma Center campus with integrated EPIC EMR.

Education

MD or DO from an accredited program

Completion of accredited neurosurgery residency

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery
