Lifepoint Health-affiliated UP Health System-Marquette in Marquette, MI, is seeking a neurosurgeon to join a 40% outpatient and 60% OR/inpatient mix. You will be part of a 3-provider group with 5 APPs, and a teaching affiliation with Michigan State University medical students.

Responsibilities

• Manage a 40% outpatient clinic and 60% operating room/inpatient caseload.
• Perform 10–20 surgical cases per week as part of an integrated brain and spine center.
• Collaborate with a teaching affiliation with Michigan State University medical students.
• Participate in call rotation with APPs (5 APPs) to ensure patient coverage.
• Engage in a collegial, supportive practice environment with a dedicated care team.

Position Details

1. 3 provider group
2. 6 Advanced Practice Providers
   1. 5 APPs participate in call rotation & typically take first call
3. Employed position
4. 40% outpatient and 60% operating room / inpatient mix
5. Teaching affiliation with Michigan State University medical students
6. Collegial and supportive practice environment
7. Target patient load average of 20-30 patients per day in clinic, two days per week
8. 10-20 surgical cases per week
9. One clinic per week at an outreach location
10. Call 1:3
11. Level II Trauma Center
12. Outpatient office embedded in the hospital
13. EMR and software assisted triage system to improve surgical yield
14. Staffed with 1 RN, 1 LPN, 7 C/MAs & 7 clerical
15. Outreach clinic locations in Escanaba, Ishpeming, Hancock, Iron Mountain, Manistique, Newberry
16. Comprehensive brain and spine center inclusive of Neurology, Physiatry, Interventional Pain, Neurophysiology & Neuro/Health Psychology.
