Job summary

The Neurosurgeon role in Northwest Indiana offers a high‑volume surgical practice within a physician‑led system, located in the Greater Chicagoland area, about 30 minutes from downtown Chicago. You will operate in a HIMSS Stage VII environment with EPIC EHR and AI enhancements, collaborating with neurologists, spine specialists, and surgical staff.

Board Certified or Board Eligible, US MD or DO, Indiana license or eligible soon, and subspecialty interests welcomed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited US medical school or international equivalent (MD or DO).
• Completed an ACGME-accredited Neurological Surgery residency; Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Active and unrestricted Indiana medical license (or eligible for state licensure within 90–120 days).
• Demonstrates high clinical and surgical competency in general neurosurgery and/or subspecialty fellowship areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cranial and complex/general spine neurosurgical care across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical suite environments.
• Conduct clinical evaluations, patient workups, and perform elective and emergent neurosurgical procedures.
• Participate in an equitable, shared neurosurgery call rotation.
• Utilize advanced surgical technology, intraoperative imaging, and EPIC EHR with AI-driven documentation enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including neurologists, orthopedic spine surgeons, pain management specialists, and critical care teams.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives, safety protocols, and optimal patient care pathways.
