Job summary

Surgical Affiliates Management Group, Inc. (SAMGI) seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Neurosurgeon to join the neurosurgery program at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.

This is a full-time employed role focused on inpatient and emergency coverage. The neurosurgeon will deliver comprehensive care, including evaluation and management of emergent and inpatient cases, working with hospital leadership, emergency medicine, trauma services, and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree; Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Neurosurgery.
• Eligible for medical licensure in North Dakota.
• Strong clinical skills and a commitment to high‑quality patient care; team‑oriented with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage emergent and inpatient neurosurgical cases.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership, emergency medicine, trauma services, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide 183 twenty-four hour shifts per year with continuous call coverage; no admin duties.

The Role

SAMGI is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neurosurgeon to join our established neurosurgery program at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. This is a full-time employed position focused on inpatient and emergency neurosurgical coverage, supporting a high-quality regional program.

The neurosurgeon will provide comprehensive neurosurgical care, including evaluation and management of emergent and inpatient cases, in collaboration with hospital leadership, emergency medicine, trauma services, and multidisciplinary teams.

Schedule and Coverage

This position requires 183 twenty-four hour shifts per year. Shifts are structured as continuous 24-hour call coverage. No administrative duties are required. Shift requirements are prorated for partial calendar years.
