Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a full-time Day Shift Registered Nurse Manager for the Neuroscience Unit. The role leads the Neuro IMCU, focusing on stroke care, epilepsy monitoring, and neurosurgical patients, with a goal of ensuring patient safety and exceptional family experience.

Requires a BSN (graduate degree preferred) and 3 years RN experience, plus management experience or equivalent; BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• BSN is required; graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year formal management experience or equivalent.
• Three years RN experience required.
• Leadership role in neuro or acute care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Has overall accountability for daily operations of one or more clinical areas.
• Supervises patient care staff and ensures safety and quality outcomes.
• Interviews, hires, and develops staff to build a reliable team.
• Manages unit budget, purchasing, and payroll; provides clinical leadership.
