Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Staff Nurse Inpatient for a full-time night shift (7pm-7:30am) with rotating weekends on the CDH Neuro Intermediate unit. The role involves caring for patients with acute neurological and spine disorders and contributing to high patient satisfaction.

Applicants must hold a BSN, be a current Illinois RN, and have BLS. ADN may be accepted with commitment to obtain BSN within three years.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program.
• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with others.
• Strong analytic abilities.
• ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within three years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role.

Responsibilities

• Prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care for acutely ill patients.
• Interacts with patients, families and health team members, upholding ANA standards.
