Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent degree required.
• Significant experience in rodent spinal cord injury models, motor function, histological analyses.
• Experience with spinal stimulation and respiratory circuits is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct experiments using preclinical SCI models.
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot experiments related to spinal stimulation, electrophysiology, respiratory physiology, and neurobehavioural assessment.
• Collect, analyze, interpret, and present experimental data.
• Contribute to manuscripts, abstracts, reports and grant applications; present findings at conferences.
• Collaborate with investigators across neuroscience, rehabilitation, engineering and related disciplines.
• Train laboratory personnel in specialized research techniques; mentor graduate and undergraduate students.
