Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to assist physicians and provide exceptional patient care across a range of medical conditions. The role includes ADL support, patient transport, specimen collection, and ensuring patient safety.

The position is full-time (36 hours) on the Day Shift, with weekends/holidays as scheduled. Benefits start on day one, with strong growth and a lucrative referral program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Connecticut approved Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in progress toward BA in Nursing/Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed.
• Proof with college transcript required or significant nurse assistant/healthcare experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Previous Nursing Assistant experience in acute care preferred.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Collect and report patient information and data.
• Help patients with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing, dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation.
• Patient transport.
• Collection of specimens.
• Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms.
• Deliver ice and beverages to patients.
• Monitor patient safety for at-risk patients as assigned.
• Support physicians as needed.
