Job summary

The Neurobiology and Sleep Science Laboratory at Indiana University is seeking a detail-oriented technician and a lab manager to support federally funded projects on the neural basis of circadian timekeeping and sleep regulation.

Qualifications

• Education beyond the minimum may substitute for work experience.
• Minimum two years of laboratory experience for Bachelor’s route; four years for Associate’s route.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain health and welfare of Drosophila stocks and manage stock additions.
• Prepare media and solutions to support research activities.
• Order and inventory lab supplies and maintain databases.
• Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and work areas.
• Supervise undergraduates in maintenance tasks and ensure safety compliance.
