Stark Neurosciences Research Institute at Indiana University is seeking a Laboratory Research Assistant to support diverse neuroscience projects. You will assist in animal model development, perform assays, manage data, and maintain lab equipment.

This full-time role requires a Bachelor's or an Associate with laboratory experience, strong communication, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
• Associate's degree and 4 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Maintains a high degree of professionalism.
• Demonstrates time management and priority setting skills.

Responsabilités

• Assists in animal model development including imaging, dosing, and necropsy.
• Develops and tests new experimental protocols.
• Follows protocols for handling, processing, shipping, storage and documentation of specimens and compounds.
• Prepares research summaries and assists in progress report development and manuscript writing.
• Collects specimens, including blood, microbiological swabs, and tissues.
• Calculates, reconstitutes, and maintains reagents.
• Sets up and maintains laboratory equipment and inventory.
• Adheres to IACUC, Radiation Safety, DEA, and EHS regulatory standards.
