Qualifications

  • Eligible for Nevada licensure; board certification in clinical neuropsychology expected or in pursuit.

Job description

Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute announces a search for a neuropsychologist with specific interest and experience in neurological diseases including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Multiple Sclerosis. This individual will join the staff of the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in Las Vegas, Nevada and will have full testing support from psychometricians (including a bilingual Spanish speaking psychometrist) and/or trainees. The incoming neuropsychologist will interact with neurologists, psychiatrists, health psychologists, neurorehabilitation therapists, and brain imaging experts in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct neuropsychological assessment with the assistance of a technician/advanced trainee, including record review, clinical interview, report writing, and providing feedback to patients, families, and referring providers.
  • Engage in the education and training of practicum students from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas clinical psychology doctoral program and the clinical neuropsychology postdoctoral training program.
  • Participate in program development, work with professional athletes, and deliver clinical intervention services, including involvement in the Healthy Action to Benefit Independence and Thinking (HABIT) program for individuals with mild cognitive impairment and their care partners.
  • Collaborate with center-wide research projects, including neuroimaging studies and observational cohort-based research.
Qualifications

  • Completed a postdoctoral fellowship specializing in clinical neuropsychology.
  • Experience working with patients who have neurodegenerative conditions.
  • Eligibility for licensure in Nevada; board certification in clinical neuropsychology is expected or in pursuit.
