Westchester Medical Center Health Network seeks a Neurophysiology Technologist to perform EEG testing and related studies, preparing patients and collaborating with physicians to interpret results.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a formal EEG training program in electro neurodiagnostic technology or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• 2 years of experience as a Neurophysiology Technologist preferred.
• BLS CPR and Neuro Diagnos Tech certificate upon hire, required.
• ABRET registry eligible; must attempt ABRET within 2 years and be ABRET registered within 5 years of hire date.

Responsabilités

• Functions as a resource person to physicians and their staff, family members and hospital staff.
• Prepares the patient and performs Electroencephalograms, Ambulatory EEG's, Routine EEG’s, and LTM’s.
• Edit and prepare a test for reading by a physician.
• Reports findings or concerns to the reading physician for prompt interpretation.
• Demonstrates compassionate, courteous, friendly and privacy-respecting customer service in all interactions.
• Cleans and maintains EEG equipment and accessories.
• Use protocol for patient wires, including removing them and proper cleaning and storage.
• Office duties such as scheduling, filing, computer and telephone skills.
• Performs other duties as directed by Neurophysiology Manager or Chief of Neurophysiology, EEG.

Job Summary

The Neurophysiology Technologist functions as a resource person to physicians and their staff, family members and hospital staff. Prepare patients and performs Electroencephalograms, Ambulatory EEG's, BAER's, VEP and other tests within their scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a resource person to physicians and their staff, family members and hospital staff.
• Prepares the patient and performs Electroencephalograms, Ambulatory EEG's, Routine EEG’s, and LTM’s.
• Edit and prepare a test for reading by a physician.
• Reports findings or concerns to the reading physician for prompt interpretation.
• The employee will demonstrate customer service in all interactions, that is compassionate, courteous, friendly, non-judgmental and demonstrates a respect for privacy.
• Cleans and maintains equipment (EEG machine and accessories).
• Use specific protocol for patient wires, including taking them off and proper cleaning and storage.
• Some office responsibilities such as scheduling, filing, computer and telephone skills.
• Performs other duties as directed by the Neurophysiology Manager or Chief of Neurophysiology, EEG.

Qualifications/Requirements

Experience

2 years of experience as a Neurophysiology Technologist, preferred.

Education

Graduate of a formal EEG training program in Electro neurodiagnostic technology or equivalent combination of training and experience, required.

Licenses / Certifications

BLS CPR and Neuro Diagnos Tech certificate upon hire, required.
