Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Romeoville, IL is seeking a Neurophysiological Tech to support EEG/EP testing within a physician-led team. Conduct neurobehavioral studies, prepare the patient, and help ensure high-quality data collection in a busy clinical lab.

The role emphasizes data management, documentation, and collaboration with clinicians. A Bachelor’s degree, EEG training, ABRET eligibility, and CPR/BLS certification are required; experience with 10/20 system and qEEG software is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or related field.
  • Eligible for ABRET EEG written board examination.
  • Graduate of EEG program or 2–3 years EEG testing experience.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients and collaborate with referring provider to address, clarify or identify potential issues related to conducting the study.
  • Provide patients with instruction in preparation for the study.
  • Manage the patient’s behavior during data acquisition to obtain high-quality recording.
  • Perform basic data analysis and process EEG/EP data.
  • Ensure all session data is documented in the patient chart.
  • Retrieve and deliver studies, populate report templates and provide observational data for each study.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness and proper handling and disposal of biological specimens.
  • Collect data and maintain research database; ensure data is ready 1–3 days after testing.
  • Provide admin/data management support for Brain to Behavior patients.

Neurophysiological Tech - Romeoville
Position Highlights:
  • Full-Time, 40 hours/week
  • Hours: Monday-Thursday, 10-hour shift
  • Location: Romeoville, IL
  • Travel: As needed.
JOB DESCRIPTION

Conductsneurobehavioralstudiessuch as QEEGs, neurobehavioraland psychologicaltests and toxicology screenings.(70%)

  • Prepares for patients arrival, collaborate with referring provider to address, clarify or identify potential issues related to conducting the study. Work with provider to problem solve prior to patients arrival.
  • Provides patients with instruction in preparation for the study.
  • Manages thepatient’sbehavior during the acquisitionof data, such as reduction of muscle artifact, reduction of blink frequency, management of eye movement and restlessness, so that the highest quality recording may be obtained.
  • Preforms basic data analysis, processes acquired clinical EEG, EvokedPotentials andother neuropsychological data.
  • Ensures all session data is documented in the patient chart.
  • Retrieve and deliver studies, populate report templates and provide subjective observational data for each study.
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness which includes the stylization process between patients and proper handling and disposal of biological specimens.

Collecting data and maintaining researchdatabase. (20%)

  • Ensure data is acquired, processed and ready forinterpretation1-3 days after testing. Inform clinicians when data is ready for processing and when feedback is scheduled.
  • Maintain laboratory notebook and clinical data; data on assessments, treatment goals, number of test, brain wave frequencies and session outcomes.
  • Assure that all data is backed up and stored.

Provide administrative support/data management for Brain to Behavior patients. (10%)

  • Ensure all the supplies needed for functional operation of the lab are available, including software updates.
  • Assist provider with updating and maintaining lab protocols.
  • Explain the Brain to Behavior program, and its various disciplines and offerings to patients and their families.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of basic infection control standards relating to patients and equipment.
  • Experience and/or interest in research
  • Proficient with computers and qEEG/EP software
  • Familiarity with the International 10/20 system of electrode measurement and application.
  • Ability to work with patients of all ages with psychiatric conditions.
  • Knowledge of windows application for computers.
EDUCATIONand / or CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Social Work or related field
  • Must have passed or be eligible for ABRET written board examination for EEG.
  • Graduate of approved program for EEG or 2-3 years experience in EEG testing, performing test on infants, children and adults.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
EXPERIENCE:
  • 2-3 years’ experience in EEG testing on children and adult populations.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $24.02-$36.03/hourly, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
