The University of California, Irvine School of Medicine invites applications for a full-time neuropathologist faculty position in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine to join the Health Sciences Clinical or Clinical X series at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank.

Candidates must have neuropathology fellowship, MD/DO/MD-PhD, board certification or eligibility, and CA medical license eligibility.

Qualifications

• Fellowship training in neuropathology.
• MD/DO or MD-PhD degree; must be eligible for California medical license.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Anatomic Pathology and Neuropathology.
• Excellent communication and managerial skills; interest in surgical neuropathology.
• Additional interest in autopsy pathology or cardiothoracic pathology is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services in neuropathology including frozen section on-call duties.
• Teach fellows, residents, and medical students; mentor junior faculty.
• Contribute to departmental and hospital committees and scholarly activities.
