Yale New Haven Health seeks a Neuro Telemetry Technician at the Adams Neurosciences Center to monitor neurophysiologic data and ensure accurate annotations for clinical operations and approved research.
The role requires a bachelor's degree and EEG experience, familiarity with EEG montages and artifacts, and the ability to escalate issues per protocol. The technician will support EEG monitoring and protocol-driven research across a 24/7 environment.
Join us as we redefine the future of clinical neurophysiology at the Adams Neurosciences Center-a destination, state-of-the-art center for advanced neuroscience care, innovation, and discovery. Our nationally recognized program is expanding to a 12‑bed Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, building on more than 50 years of pioneering epilepsy and epilepsy surgery care. We are advancing some of the nation's most sophisticated critical care neurophysiology and multimodal neuromonitoring capabilities, alongside leading programs in epilepsy surgery, neurostimulation, and comprehensive neurodiagnostics. As a clinical research leader in the neurosciences, we are also advancing the practice of clinical neurophysiology itself‑including the evolving role of neuroanalysts and neurophysiologists in EEG interpretation support, continuous neurocritical care monitoring, evoked potential and autonomics testing, advanced neuromonitoring, and collaborative patient care. Join a multidisciplinary team shaping what comes next in clinical neurophysiology.
To be part of our organization, every employee should understand and share in the YNHHS Vision, support our Mission, and live our Values. These values - integrity, patient‑centered, respect, accountability, and compassion - must guide what we do, as individuals and professionals, every day.
The Neuro Telemetry Technician is a bachelor's‑prepared neurophysiology professional who provides continuous and retrospective surveillance and structured annotation of neurophysiologic data in support of clinical operations, quality initiatives, education, and approved research activities. Working under the direction of credentialed neurophysiology personnel and designated clinical or research leadership, the Neuro Telemetry Technician identifies and documents predefined clinical, behavioral, technical, environmental, and potential neurophysiologic events using standardized annotation and escalation protocols. The position requires foundational EEG knowledge and prior EEG experience. The Neuro Telemetry Technician understands electrode placement, basic montages, recording integrity, common artifacts, and foundational waveform and pattern‑recognition concepts. Following documented competency validation, the Neuro Telemetry Technician may perform defined technical procedures such as patient preparation, routine electrode application, equipment setup, impedance and data‑quality checks, troubleshooting, and patient disconnects. This is a specialized pre‑registry position and is distinct from the Neurophysiology Technologist I trainee role. It requires a bachelor's degree and prior EEG experience so that the employee can contribute to neurotelemetry and protocol‑directed research activities upon completion of role‑specific orientation. The position does not independently interpret EEG findings or render diagnostic conclusions.
