Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking two Design Quality Engineer II (defined-term up to 24 months) to join Neuromodulation teams in Valencia, CA, or San Jose/Valencia, CA. You’ll contribute to cross-functional product development, risk management, and post-market surveillance across Neuromodulation products.

Roles require collaboration across sites, adherence to design controls, and participation in safety analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical/industrial/electrical/biomedical) or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in manufacturing, design, risk management, design assurance, post-market quality, or design engineering.
• Experience in medical device industry or similarly regulated field.
• Willingness to work a defined-term role up to 24 months.
• Strong problem-solving using analysis, experimentation, and statistics.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills; able to collaborate in a mixed onsite/remote environment.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Apply systematic problem-solving methodologies to identify, prioritize, communicate, and resolve quality issues.
• Mentor and support quality disciplines and decisions within cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate to identify and implement controls and support design control related products, records, and processes.
• Own, create, maintain, and/or support safety risk management processes, including Hazard Analysis, Risk Management Plan, Risk Management Report, and DFMEA.
• Support Post-Market activities based on post-market signals and risk.
• Consult with product experts, design engineering, post-market quality, and medical safety functions for risk analysis.
• Support Design Quality Engineers on new product development, acquisitions, and sustaining engineering projects.
• Perform quality trending using complaints and CAPA systems; lead risk analyses for CAPA and audit findings.
• Serve as a collaborative team member aiming for best practices aligned with division objectives.
