Job summary

Puget Sound Veterinary Specialty & Emergency (PSVSE) in Gig Harbor, WA seeks a Neurology Veterinary Assistant to join a fast-paced specialty team. You will support patient care, diagnostics, anesthesia preparation, and client communication throughout the patient journey.

This role offers opportunities to work closely with a board-certified neurologist and imaging modalities like MRI and CT in a collaborative hospital setting, with a focus on learning and professional growth within specialty

Qualifications

• Experience as a Veterinary Assistant is required.
• Specialty or emergency experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with neurology appointments, procedures, and hospitalized patient care.
• Support MRI and CT imaging workflows.
• Assist with anesthesia preparation and patient monitoring.
• Help maintain accurate medical records and treatment sheets.
• Provide compassionate client communication and patient updates.
• Work closely with Neurology, ER, and Specialty teams to support case flow and patient care.

Neurology Veterinary Assistant

Pay Range: $23–$28/hour

Do you love learning, thinking critically, and being part of advanced patient care? PSVSE is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our growing Neurology team!

At Puget Sound Veterinary Specialty & Emergency, we provide advanced emergency and specialty care in a collaborative, supportive environment where learning and teamwork are highly valued. Our Neurology department works closely with a board-certified neurologist/neurosurgeon and utilizes advanced imaging including MRI and CT to diagnose and treat complex medical and surgical cases.

As a Neurology Veterinary Assistant, you’ll play an important role supporting patient care, procedures, diagnostics, anesthesia preparation, and client communication throughout the patient journey. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys specialty medicine and wants to continue growing their skills in a fast‑paced hospital setting.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with neurology appointments, procedures, and hospitalized patient care
