Summit Veterinary Referral Center, part of Ethos Veterinary Health, seeks a Veterinary Assistant in Neurology to join a busy specialty hospital in Tacoma, WA. You will support the veterinary team in diagnosing and treating neurologic patients, monitor vitals, assist with advanced imaging, and help explain discharge instructions to clients.

We require at least 2 years of veterinary experience; WA medical clerk license preferred and must be willing to obtain within 3 months.

Formación

• Knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
• Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience required.
• Experience in ER/ICU or a specialty hospital preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist veterinarians in diagnosis and treatment of neurology patients
• Monitor patient vitals and report abnormalities
• Administer PO medications, fluids, and treatments as directed
• Perform in-house lab work as required
• Assist with advanced imaging (X-ray, MRI, Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound)
• Obtain and record patient histories; maintain medical records
• Prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders clearly
• Work with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture
