Job summary

Tidewater Neurologists and Sleep Disorder Specialists (TNI) in Chesapeake, VA, seeks a Physician Assistant to join our neurology team. Full training is provided; neurology or sleep medicine experience is a plus but not required.

You will perform comprehensive neurological evaluations, participate in care planning, manage medications, educate patients, and maintain accurate EMR documentation within a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician Assistant in Virginia (or eligible for licensure).
• Neurology or sleep medicine experience is a plus — not required; we invest in training the right candidate.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive neurological evaluations, including histories and exams.
• Assess symptoms related to headaches, seizures, neuropathies, movement disorders, stroke, and sleep-related concerns.
• Interpret and review diagnostic tests (EEG, EMG/NCS, neuroimaging, sleep studies).
• Collaborate with neurologists for diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Manage medications, therapies, and treatment recommendations.
• Educate patients on condition management and preventive strategies.
• Conduct follow-up visits and coordinate referrals.
• Maintain thorough documentation in the EMR.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-focused care and support families.
