Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Neurology RN (8 East) for day shift, 36 hours/week, FT. New grads welcome.

The RN will provide direct patient care, perform assessments, coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and document outcomes in line with Mercy’s standards. The Neurology 8 East unit cares for stroke, seizures, brain tumors, and brain bleeds, offering opportunities to develop advanced neuro assessment skills in a collaborative environment with therapy

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Active RN license in Missouri or a compact state.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Conduct ongoing patient assessments and coordinate care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Document care appropriately and ensure patient-centered care aligned with Mercy standards.
• Collaborate with neurology providers and therapy teams.
