Job summary

Veterans Health Administration, part of the Department of Veterans Affairs, seeks a Neurology physician to deliver comprehensive neurological care for Veterans in Augusta. The role includes supervising residents and teaching students in clinical settings, while maintaining high standards of documentation and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Doctor of medicine or osteopathic medicine with approval from VA standards.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in US or DC.
• Residency in Neurology approved by ACGME/AOA or equivalent.
• Board certification/eligibility in Neurology preferred for faculty/EDRP eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide broad Neurology services for inpatients and outpatients.
• Supervise neurology residents and medical students in clinic and hospital settings.
• Perform comprehensive neurological examinations and document encounters in the medical record.
• Maintain adherence to VA policies, productivity targets, and continuing credentialing requirements.
