Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Successful completion of a multi-skilled technician program including EKG and phlebotomy preferred.
• CPCT certification or equivalent in EKG/phlebotomy/patient care with BLS active.

Responsibilities

• Assist in direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Perform 12 lead EKG and recognize abnormalities.
• Collect blood samples by venipuncture or skin puncture.
• Enter documentation accurately into EMR.
• Support ADLs and patient nutrition and hygiene.
• Monitor vital signs and intake/output; report abnormalities.
• Follow safety policies and unit competency requirements.
