Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) in Boise, Idaho, invites a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologist to join a robust, multidisciplinary neuroscience team focused on outpatient care and advancing patient outcomes.

The successful candidate will participate in a well-established neurology program featuring EMG, EEG, TCD capabilities, and strong collaboration with neuroimaging and interventional colleagues. Call is limited to outpatients and weekdays focus with one administrative day.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• US work authorization or H-1B sponsorship eligible.
• Successful completion of ACGME or AOA accredited Neurology residency.
• Board certification in Neurology or equivalent within 3 years of employment.
• Idaho medical licensure and privileges at SAMC/SARMC; Oregon Telehealth license and DEA/controlled substance registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient neurology care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in a well-established neurology program with EEG/EMG support.
• Coordinate with neurosurgery, neuroradiology and neurocritical care teams.
• Limited call coverage for established outpatients; no ICU or hospital-wide calls.

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) - a physician led 600+ provider multispecialty group practice - is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologist committed to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care. Join a robust and growing neurology practice in Boise, Idaho.

As the regional provider of advanced neurological services, Saint Alphonsus neurologists provide care for patients with complex conditions, neurodegenerative disorders, seizures, and general neurological disease. The Saint Alphonsus Neuroscience Institute promotes collaboration with a team of general neurosurgeons, vascular neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, vascular neurologists, neuropathologists, neuro-otolaryngologists, physiatrists, neuro-ophthalmologist, and radiation oncologists. Diagnostic and patient care services available to neurologists include EMG capability in the clinic and the hospital, EEG with web-based interpretation, TCD, and Botox injection, and specialty infusions for Neuro- degenerative diseases.

Well-established neurology outpatient clinic and inpatient neuroscience program anchored with Fellowship trained Neuro Critical Care located in Boise, third party tele-stroke services staffed by vascular neurologists to be transitioned to inpatient neuro critical care July 2024, stroke coordinators, employed interventional neuroradiology service of Radiologist and Endovascular Neurosurgeons providing emergency time sensitive and elective interventions to include: biplane angiography, MRI/ MRA, CT/CTA, CT perfusion, 4-vessel angiography, and interventional stroke and aneurysm procedures.

The schedule for this full-time opportunity is a traditional workweek, Monday - Friday, F (including 1 administrative day) with a minimum of 32 hours of ambulatory clinic patient contact time. No hospital consults or weekend rounding. After hours call shared equally with other neurologists. Call coverage is for established outpatients only; there is no hospital call, ICU call, stroke call, or EEG call. Acute stroke is covered by the inpatient neurology team.

Requirements for this opportunity include:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
• U.S. work authorized applicants or those eligible for H-1B sponsorship
• Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency-training program in Neurology.
• Board certification in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or board certification in Neurology by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology & Psychiatry or its equivalent or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment .
• Obtain Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC-Boise, SAMC-Nampa and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed; obtain an active Oregon Telehealth license, a valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
