Job summary

MercyOne Waterloo seeks a Medical Assistant (MA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Neurology. Day shift, full-time, 40 hours/week, M-F. You will support clinicians with patient prep, vital signs, documentation, and basic procedures; coordinate patient flow and maintain medical records to ensure a positive patient experience.

Required: accredited MA program; LPN program and Iowa license. MA certification preferred; within one year. MercyOne is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Must have completed accredited Medical Assistant program.
• MA Certification/Registration preferred; required within one year.
• Must have completed accredited LPN program.
• LPN License in the state of Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Supports operation of the clinical practice by performing admin and clinical tasks.
• Assists physicians and other providers in patient care.
• Prepares patients, collects vital signs, documents, and performs basic clinical procedures.
• Coordinates patient flow and maintains accurate medical records.
• Ensures a positive patient experience.
