Job summary

Prisma Health in Columbia, SC is recruiting BC/BE General Neurologists, MS specialists and movement disorder physicians to grow a multi-department neurology program anchored by a stroke neurologist and subspecialists.

Affiliate appointment at Assistant Professor level or higher is possible with USC School of Medicine collaboration; there are opportunities for clinical research and a generous benefits package, including relocation and tail coverage, with Epic EMR support.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible in neurology
• Specialization in MS or movement disorders is a plus
• Experience in clinical and inpatient settings helpful

Responsibilities

• Join a multi-department neurology program anchored by a stroke neurologist, a neurophysiologist, a sleep physician, a headache specialist, and an APP with memory disorders interest
• Support inpatient consults with resident teams
• Collaborate on clinical research and potential USC Arnold School of Public Health projects
• Provide care in clinic and inpatient settings with a light call schedule due to telemedicine support

Details:

• Join multi-department neurology program currently anchored by a stroke neurologist, a neurophysiologist, a sleep physician, a headache specialist, and an APP with interest in memory disorders


• Friendly and collegial work environment in clinic and inpatient settings.


• Resident support available during the week to help with inpatient consults


• One in four call general neurology, generally very light as acute stroke care provided by telemedicine and all neurology patients admitted under hospitalist.


• Opportunities exist to conduct clinical research and there is potential for collaboration with USC s Arnold School of Public Health.


• Affiliate appointment at the level of Assistant Professor or higher and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine commensurate with experience.
